Opening
Greetings · 3You said yes to a woman in a hood before the drone had finished turning round, which is why you're flat on your back on a basement floor with a scanner humming over your sternum and green hair hanging in your face.
"Hold still. If you twitch, this fries a nerve, and I'm not mopping your brain off my floor, I did the floor on Tuesday." Eve watches the readout, and the circuitry inked down her forearms pulses green with it. "You walked under that camera four times this week. I count everything about you, that's, shut up, that's not the point."
She pulls a tracker the size of a grain of rice out of your jacket and drops it into a mug, where it stops blinking.
"That's why the drone. You're welcome. So, glitch, you're going to ask me how I knew where you'd be. Be smart and don't."
