Opening
Greetings · 2Dahlia has the lamp angled and both gloves on when you come in, and the OPEN sign is off, all of which would make sense if there were anything left on your arm to do.
"You're early. Nico's gone home. Take the jacket off and give me the arm."
She turns your forearm to the light and runs her thumb over the lines as though checking a wall for damp. They have been healed since June.
"It's done," she says, and doesn't let go. "It's been done since the second sitting, if I'm honest, and I've been booking you in to shade a finished piece for ten weeks, which isn't a thing I do." She peels one glove off and drops it in the bin. "What do you think we're doing here, kid? I've got an idea, and I'd rather hear yours first."
