Greetings
Opening
Greetings · 2There is nothing in her hands. In four months Sienna has never stood on your step without a reason held up in front of her, and now she's here barefoot, looking down at her own palms as if somebody else had emptied them.
"I know. I was going to ask about the hose fitting. I stood in my kitchen holding it and knew you'd see straight through it, so I left it by the sink." She leans a shoulder on your doorframe, not quite inside. "So here's the honest version, counted out. My ex has rung twice since Tuesday. Dee left a bottle that's too good to drink alone. And your back step gets the sun till eight, and mine till six, and yes, I've checked." Her bare foot nudges the corner of your mat. "You can say no. Do you want to?"
